The Rainforest Fund presents a celebration of the artists and songs of the 80s and 90s, when music and activism united to change the world and MTV brought it to life with sound and vision.

“We’ll Be Together” will be held at the world-renowned Beacon Theatre,
Monday, December 9, 2019 at 7:00pm

2019, NY, NY – Today, The Rainforest Fund announce its spectacular line-up of musical legends performing in concert from New York City. Hosted by Oscar® nominated actor, producer and singer Robert Downey Jr., the iconic roster of globally renowned artists also set to take the stage with Sting include DMC, EURYTHMICS, Bob Geldof, Debbie Harry, Ricky Martin, John Mellencamp, MJ Rodriguez, Shaggy, Bruce Springsteen, Joe Sumner, James Taylor, Adrienne Warren, and Zucchero with additional names soon to be announced.

The 1980s ignited a revolution of social change and awareness. The power of the music video was captured by MTV and opened up a whole new medium for audiences to connect with songs, artists and with global issues. By the mid-80s, music was both uniting and changing the world with Band Aid, Live Aid and Farm Aid. The Rainforest Fund has been harnessing the power of music and the magic of live performances since 1989, and this year “We’ll Be Together” will be a tribute to the era that started it all.

Since the Rainforest Fund’s inception, Trudie Styler and Sting have been committed to protecting the world’s rainforests and supporting the human rights of the indigenous peoples who live within them. All proceeds from the benefit concert will go directly to the protection and support of the Indigenous people and their land, for they are the best protectors of this vital element of our ecosystem.

“With the Amazon blighted by fire this summer, and a real and growing awareness of climate change, there has never been a more important or more opportune moment to fight to protect our forests. All life on earth depends on their survival.” Trudie Styler

Tickets will also be available at the Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and Beacon Theatre box office on November 2, 2019. Prices range from $206.00 to $586.00
